Directly following the adjournment of the City Council meeting Tuesday night, Horizon City’s swearing in ceremony commenced. Out going Mayor Morales swore in Aldermen Don Smasal, Place two, Renee Shufeldt, place four, Charlie Ortega, place five, and Bill Armas, Place seven.

Aldermen, Shufeldt, Ortega, and Armas are new to the City Council. Alderman Don Smasal had been appointed to serve in place two until the May election, when he was elected to fill the remainder of the term for one year.
